The PlayStation 3 owners are in for a treat this month. Two new game collections have been announced exclusively for the PS3.

The first one is a God of War collection, titled ‘God of War Saga’. It contains the first, second and third God of War games, along with Ghost of Sparta, Chains of Olympus and exclusive bonus content. A voucher for a one-month PlayStation Plus subscription is also included.

The second one is the inFamous collection, another PS3 exclusive franchise. This disc will contain inFAMOUS 1, inFAMOUS 2, inFAMOUS: Festival of Blood, extra missions and additional character costumes, power ups and weapon styles.

Both these collections will come out on August 28th for a price of $29.99. Those people who already own some of these games, can buy the individual ones on the PlayStation Store separately.

Another collection that had been previous announced and will be releasing with these two is the Ratchet and Clank collection which will contain 1080p HD remasters of three PS2 Ratchet & Clank classics: Ratchet & Clank, Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando, and Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal. In addition, these three games have Trophy and 3D support (in 720p). The online play for Up Your Arsenal has been restored.

I personally think that releasing these collections is a great move. The God of War Collection can help fans catch up before the release of God of War Ascension. And for a great price, who wouldn’t want 5 games, even if you’ve already played them? The infamous Collection is great too, as you can receive two games and bonus content at a lesser price than that which they would have cost separately.

Further news regarding these collections will be coming soon. In the meantime, check out the covers here.
