Gangnum Style is a music video which has reached the heights of popularity all around the world. This song has been sung by a South Korean singer known as PSY. This video is called “viral video” due to its huge popularity on “You Tube” and other search engines on internet. The video claims to have more than 8 million views within the duration of three months after its release. It also has the credit of having most “likes” ever in the history of You Tube.

The song gets attention of public not only due to its catchy tune but also due to the funny dance steps performed by the singer himself in the video. Various celebrities have copied this “Gangnum Style” dance form in their public appearances. During the T-20 Cricket World Cup, West Indian players (especially Chris Gayle) danced the night away performing the Gangnum Style dance form in the celebrations of their victory in the finals.

The video has gained popularity among the public in Pakistan also. A cellular company named as “Zong” has tried to copy the video of Gangnum Style in one of their TV commercials. Zong has used an elevator, a child and a person performing the same dance steps and wearing the same getup as that of PSY, the singer of Gangnum Style.

The song is quite interesting to listen and watch too as the “Horse-Riding” dance form it has used in its video is really entertaining. This makes the song to rise in charts in all the music channels on TV and Internet. People like the hilarious moves made by the singer himself in this video and another interesting fact about this song is that the UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon has declared the video of Gangnum Style as a “force for world peace”.
