Alleged Galaxy S IV pics leak ahead of launch

Is there any doubt left that the launch of Galaxy S IV is shaping up to be one of the most hyped launches in recent memory? It’s got all the makings of a fantastic show; great venue, great marketing and what not. And being the successor to the most successful Android phone in recent memory definitely helps. Of course natural laws dictate that the more the hype is, the more leaks and rumours you will see regarding a product. Why should the Galaxy S IV be any different? We’ve had our fair share of rumours and leaks. Today however what we have is the most damning evidence of what to expect. What we have below are Galaxy S IV pics, allegedly the real thing.

First things first. This is, for all intents and purposes, not an international version. According to the source, these Galaxy S IV pics are for the Chinese region. This is further proven by the presence of dual SIM support; something that is almost exclusively used for phones in China. The model is i9502, with i9500 reserved for the international version.

So how does the phone look? You be the judge of that. It looks remarkably similar to the Galaxy S III, with only minor differences. The camera lens on the back look a lot bigger. Is Samsung going for more than just a pixel bump on the camera? We definitely hope so. Too many generic >10MP shooters out there. Other than that the design looks the same as we’ve come to expect from Samsung. Curved edges and glossy plastic all over. With sophisticated designs of HTC One, Xperia Z or the Lumia 920 already in the markets, this particular Galaxy S IV pics look pretty bland and uninspiring. But then again, who’s the one to argue in the face of sheer sales figures of previous Samsung phones?
